That is an incredibly buggy and slow version that was obsoleted immediately and frequently while MySQL recovered from the poor-quality 5.0 initial release. It was ridiculous that RHEL didn’t update their repositories for so long, and I saw many serious downtime incidents because of bugs that had been fixed in official MySQL for years while RHEL was stuck on that old nasty version.
